Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, while delivering the ruling, ordered that the former governor must provide one surety who will also undertake a bond of the same amount.
The court ruled that the surety must be a resident of either Maitama or Asokoro in Abuja and must submit the original Certificate of Occupancy of a landed property to the court registry.
Justice Abdulmalik further stated that the surety must be a federal civil servant on Grade Level 17 or above and present proof of salary payments covering at least three months.
According to the court, the submitted documents must also be verified through a letter issued by the surety’s bank manager within the court’s jurisdiction.
