A Togolese living at 14, Ago Street, Okokomaiko, a Lagos suburb, is alleged to have conspired with another foreigner to kidnap a 34-day-old baby, Mustapha Ibrahim. Vanguard gathered that the other foreigner, identified as Sekinat, lives with the parents of the baby, Ganiyu and Saidat Ibrahim at the said address. It was learned that Sekinat and the toddler’s parents had been neighbours for about five years.

A 39 year old woman is being held in Moscow by officers after she walked through streets carrying a child's severed head. The video footage appeared to show the woman walking in the street, looking disorientated and carrying the child's head before her arrest. Reports in Russia claim the woman shouted 'Allahu Akbar' as she was held.

Two young girls who were approached by a suspected unidentified female trafficker at Ekpoma in Edo state in Nigeria to seek greener pastures as workers in a restaurant in Ivory Coast ended up in Togo to work as prostitutes.

Justice A.I. Chikere of a Federal High Court in Abuja today ordered former Interior Minister, Abba Moro, former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior Anastasia M. Daniel-Nwaobia and a deputy director in the ministry F. A. Aleyebami to be remanded in Kuje prison custody till March 2nd when their formal bail application will be heard. Tarnia Parvin, 25, suffered severe burns to her face, arms and upper body after she had acid thrown on her by her husband following a trivial, domestic issue. She was rescued by locals who heard her agonized screams and took her to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where she is being treated. The incident took place at 8pm local time as she was going to prayers.

Buhari dumps promise to pay N5000 to unemployed youths

President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed he wouldn't pay the N5000 stipend promised unemployed youths during his presidential campaign.The President, said during an interactive session in Saudi Arabia that he could not pay those not employed.
He said he rather than paying unemployed youths, his administration would build infrastructure and empower able-bodied men to work.He said

A source told PUNCH Newspaper that the victim had been introduced to Ahamido sometime in December, 2015, in a restaurant in Lekki.

It's another mourning time for Nigerian entertainment industry as they recently lost one of their own. Veteran actor and former banker, Joseph 'Jab' Adu, aged 83, died yesterday, Sunday, February 28, 2016 in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Supreme Court Upholds Rev King's Death Sentence

Rev. King was sentenced to death by hanging in 2007 by Justice Olubunmi Oyewole of the Ikeja High Court on a 5-count charge of murder. He set fire on seven members of his church whom he accused of fornication.

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) have reacted to the resignation of Sunday Oliseh as coach of the Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles.
