Nigeria Records 471 New Cases Of COVID 19 Infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 471 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 178,086.

 The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Monday. “On the 9th of August 2021, 471 new confirmed cases was recorded in Nigeria. 

 “Till date, 178,086 cases have been confirmed, 165,763 cases have been discharged and 2,187 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory .the NCDC said.

The Affected states include; Lagos (219), Akwa-Ibom(102), 0ndo(37), Oyo(33), Kwara(19), Rivers(16), Ekiti(15) Delta(14), Ogun(7), FCT(5), Niger(2),  Edo(1),and Katsina(1).
