Nigeria Records 49 New Cases Of COVID 19 Infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 49 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 165,901.

 The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Thursday. “On the 20th of May 2021, 49 new confirmed cases was recorded in Nigeria. 

 “Till date, 165,901 cases have been confirmed, 156, 459cases have been discharged and 2,067 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory .

 “The 49 new cases are reported from 7 states- Lagos (21), Rivers(16), FCT(5), Kano(3), Akwa-Ibom(2), Ebonyi(1) and Ekiti(1),” the NCDC said.
