Kwankwaso made the assertion on Thursday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he evaluated his party's readiness for the upcoming polls.
"Peter Obi is popular in the South, and we are mobilizing our people in the North. Even the President is concerned about the person of our presidential candidate, and he has been having sleepless nights because of him," Kwankwaso said.
He contended that President Tinubu recognizes his inability to secure victory single-handedly, forcing him to rely heavily on state governors for support.
Expressing confidence in the opposition's prospects, the former Kano State governor stated that members of the Kwankwasiyya movement and citizens seeking national reform are consolidating behind the NDC ticket to build a formidable political coalition.
He added that public support continues to grow despite alleged attempts by political opponents to explore avenues for electoral manipulation.
