Trouble started when Badmus, during the interview, shrugged it off and changed her expression after Isbae U, the show’s host, mentioned Bakare’s name as one of his favourite actresses.
Reacting to the video, Bakare shared a post on her Instagram page describing Badmus as a “nuisance”. The movie star alleged Badmus had decided to bring her down at all costs. She said she “would no longer let it slide,” warning that she would take action over the latest incident.
“Nuisance ni lady yi sha! Must you always damage my character publicly? Several times I have warned you to stop, but since you have decided to bring me down at all costs, you will surely hear from me,” she wrote.
Bakare also accused Badmus of being ungrateful after she had helped her grow in life.
“See your facial expressions at the mention of your biggest benefactor’s name? Omo ale. That helped you to grow in life. Honestly, you are indeed an ingrate, and I won’t let this slide,” she said.
The actress also said she wouldn’t let another person’s insecurity distract her from her journey.
“I will never allow someone else’s insecurity to become my distraction. I know my journey, I know my worth, and I know how much it has taken me to get here,” she added.
In response, Badmus, via her Instagram on Tuesday, apologised to Bakare over her expression, acknowledging that it was dismissive and wrong. She added that she has decided to choose peace over their perceived differences.
