In a viral Facebook video, the former leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force (NDPVF) issued a blunt warning to the US:
“Let Trump come with his America, they will all die, this lunatic wants to annex Canada, he wants Iceland, wants to kill the president of Venezuela, he wants to kill the Supreme leader of Iran.”
Asari described the United States as a “sick” nation and criticised what he called double standards in international outrage, pointing to conflicts in Congo, Gaza and Sudan while questioning why other situations are ignored. “South Africa is committing genocide against Whites but he can’t see the genocide in Congo, in Gaza, in Sudan,” he said, and added, “if you come to Nigeria, you all will die here, it will be your grave yard, Nigeria will be your grave yard.”
He framed his remarks in personal terms, stressing his identity and alliances: “I’m a Muslim who is in the oasis of non-muslim. What I am today was not made by Muslims, I was made by non-Muslims, you people talk too much.”
Asari also invoked history to argue against foreign intervention, referencing past US military setbacks. “Did America not go to Vietnam? Didn’t they run? Where have they gone to and stayed?” he asked, insisting that Nigerians would resist any invasion.
