The Fulham midfielder achieved the milestone on Saturday during his side’s narrow 1–0 loss to Arsenal at Craven Cottage, marking his 299th appearance in the competition.
With this feat, Iwobi surpassed the previous record of 288 matches held by former Newcastle United forward Shola Ameobi — a record that had stood for over a decade.
According to Bold Sports, the occasion was a special one for the 29-year-old, who reached the landmark against Arsenal, the club where he began his Premier League career.
Across his career, Iwobi has featured 149 times for Arsenal, 140 times for Everton, and 85 times for Fulham, including Saturday’s appearance.
