Seun Kuti blasts VDM for saying his protest led to rescue of Oyo victims

Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has blasted VeryDarkMan who seemingly praised his protest as the catalyst for the rescue of the victims of the Oyo school a.bduction.

Responding to the claim, Seun dismissed the assertion and mockingly referred to the activist as “VeryDaftMan,” arguing that it was misleading to take credit for the rescue.

Seun maintained that although VeryDarkMan’s protest led to a meeting with the Oyo State  governor, it had no connection to the security operation that secured the victims’ freedom.

He argued that believing a protest could compel the government to carry out such an operation within three weeks was unrealistic.

“VeryDarkMan saying he’s the one that made the government rescue the children, that’s a lie. His protest was just to meet the  Governor which he did but the governor has nothing to do with the rescue of the children. That’s why I call him verydaftman cos imagine thinking you can gather your rats and then make the government do something within 3 weeks,” he said.
