Actress Clarion Chukwurah speaks on online toxicity

Veteran nollywood actress has taken a strong stance against what she described as the increasing toxicity of online media in Nigeria.

In a post shared on Instagram, the screen legend expressed concern over how social media platforms have become fertile ground for misinformation, witch-hunting, blackmail, and outright lies.

“I never cease to wonder how it became so bad in Nigeria that online media has become an acceptable platform to misinform, witch hunt, broadcast lies, and wish evil on others,” she wrote.

Chukwurah questioned whether the trend is fueled by the bitterness of content creators who cannot stand seeing others thrive.

Addressing those spreading falsehoods about her, the actress stressed that her success is not by her own power but by the word of God. Quoting biblical verses, she affirmed that no man can curse whom God has blessed.

“To the unfortunate specimens out there peddling falsehood about me, I have come this far not by my own power because I have no power of my own, but by the WORD Of The LORD; Isaiah 54:15–17. In Jesus Christ, I am secured and remain strong,” she declared.
