Mohammed Salah wins PFA player of the year award

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has made history as the first player to win the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Men’s Player of the Year award three times.

Salah, who previously claimed the honor in 2018 and 2022, emerged top of a six-man shortlist featuring Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, and Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice.

The 33-year-old earned the accolade after spearheading Liverpool’s Premier League title triumph last season, finishing as the league’s top scorer with 29 goals and providing 18 assists.
His stellar form also secured him the Premier League Player of the Season award and the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year title.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers was named Young Player of the Year, while former England boss Gareth Southgate received the 2025 PFA Merit Award.
