The Nigerian women’s team secured their 10th continental title on Saturday night, staging a dramatic 3–2 comeback against hosts Morocco in the final.
According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the players and officials will arrive at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by noon on Monday, with celebrations kicking off shortly after.
A trophy parade featuring an open-roof bus will take the champions across major parts of Abuja, including Airport Road, Berger Junction, Maitama, and Wuse Market, culminating in a visit to the Presidential Villa.
“This will afford a good number of people in those areas to have a rare sight of the Women AFCON trophy,” NFF General Secretary Dr. Mohammed Sanusi said.
The team is expected to be received by President Bola Tinubu as part of the official celebrations marking their historic achievement.
