Lagos State Gov Sanwo-Olu Announces 30% Reduction In Red Line Fares

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu recently announced a 30% reduction in fares for the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Red Line.

This means that a trip from Agbado to Oyingbo will now cost N1,000 instead of N1,500.

The fare reduction is part of the government's efforts to encourage wider adoption of the Red Line and provide some relief to commuters facing economic challenges.

He said that he was happy that the rail systems are currently contributing to the mobility of Lagos residents.

Moreover, to further enhance bus services, Sanwo-Olu said the state government is anticipating the arrival of new CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) buses and electric buses by the third quarter of this year.
