Air Peace responds to fraud charges against CEO

Air Peace has responded to reports of fraud charges filed by the U.S. Department of Justice against its CEO, Dr. Allen Onyema, and Chief of Finance/Administration, Mrs. Ejiro Eghagha.

In a statement on Sunday, the airline reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and integrity, acknowledging the ongoing legal process.

Air Peace urged the public to await the outcome of the investigation before making any judgments, noting that the matter was still in court.

“These charges against our executives are part of a long-standing legal process linked to earlier accusations of financial misconduct from several years ago,” the airline said.

While the charges have been expanded, Air Peace emphasized that they are only allegations at this stage, and the case is still being contested in court.

The airline’s legal team is actively handling the case, working to ensure justice is served.

“We remain confident that, through due process, the truth will come to light, and our CEO and co-defendant will be cleared,” the statement added.

It also highlighted that Onyema and his legal team have cooperated with authorities throughout the process, and reassured the public that Air Peace’s operations remain unaffected.

“These legal proceedings will not impact the safety, reliability, or daily operations of Air Peace,” the airline stated.
