Nigerians lament how empty the Lagos airport is due to high cost of flight tickets

A traveller took to X to share a photo of what he claims the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos, looked like on the morning of Septemebr 24. 

 The photo shows an almost empty waiting area, with just a handful of passengers waiting. "Empty airport this morning. 

Return ticket Lagos to Abuja is 143k," the X user wrote. 

 Other Nigerians have also gone on the platform to lament about the high cost of flight tickets.

Return ticket Lagos to Abuja is now 200k. I’ll would rather enter bus and drink energy drinks like fearless on the road when tired than pay that amount for ticket.
