Court sentences TikToker to 3 years jail term for defaming Eniola Badmus

A High Court sitting in Lagos State has sentenced a TiKToker, Nwakaego Okoye to 3 years imprisonment for the defamation of Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus.

The lady levelled a strong charge against the actress, stating she was a pimp who gave females to politicians for a fee.

When questioned, she said that she was forced to made the video by a friend of hers, Fortune Ibe, who is still at large.

He offered her N200k, and because she was desperate for money to pay her rent, she consented to make the video.

Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Lagos issued the verdict on Wednesday.

Okoye was convicted after pleading guilty to two counts of cyberstalking.

However, since she showed remorse for her actions, she was given an option of paying a fine of N150,000 in lieu of jail time.
