President Buhari speaks on Kuje prison attack

President Buhari has reacted to the terrorist attack on the Kuje correctional center. Terrorists stormed the prison facility at about 10pm on Tuesday, July 6 and engaged the security agents in a gun battle. 

600 inmates including Boko Haram terrorists were released during the attack. 

 The President led a team of government officials to the prison this afternoon to assess the level of destruction.

 In a tweet posted on his handle this evening, the President wondered how the attackers got away with the crime. 

He said he is expecting a comprehensive report on the incident. ''Saddened by the attack on the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Kuje. 

I am disappointed with the intelligence system. How can terrorists organize, have weapons, attack a security installation and get away with it? I am expecting a comprehensive report on this shocking incident.''
