Nigeria Records 566 New Cases Of COVID 19 Infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 566 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 176,577.

 The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Thursday. “On the 5th of August 2021, 566 new confirmed cases was recorded in Nigeria. 

 “Till date, 176,577 cases have been confirmed, 165,323 cases have been discharged and 2,178 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory .the NCDC said.

The Affected states include; Lagos (283), Akwa-Ibom(88), Oyo(62), Rivers(62), Ogun(17), FCT(18), Ekiti(12) Kwara(11), Plateau(6),  Zamfara(3), Kaduna(2), ,and Katsina(2).
