Nigeria Records 1149 New Cases Of COVID 19 Infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 1,149 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 184,593.

 The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Wednesday. “On the 18th of August 2021, 1,149 new confirmed cases was recorded in Nigeria. 

 “Till date, 184, 593 cases have been confirmed, 167,738 cases have been discharged and 2,236 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory .the NCDC said.

The Affected states include; Lagos(680), Rivers(157), Akwa-Ibom(94), Oyo(56), Edo(36), FCT(34), Ogun(31), Ekiti(20), Delta(16), Abia(5),Nasarawa(5),Osun(5),Cross River(4), Plateau(3) Sokoto(2) and Kano(1).
