Nigeria Records 40 New Cases Of COVID 19 Infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 40 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 166,019.

 The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Sunday. “On the 23rd of May 2021, 40 new confirmed cases was recorded in Nigeria. 

 “Till date, 166,019 cases have been confirmed, 156, 476cases have been discharged and 2,067 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory .

 “The 40 new cases are reported from 7 states- Lagos (29),Abia (3), Ogun(3), Kano(1), Kaduna(1), Plateau(1) and Rivers(1),” the NCDC said.
