Nigerians drag Desmond Elliot for allegedly supporting anti-social media bill

Nigerians on twitter have dragged actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot, for allegedly supporting an anti-social media bill in the Lagos State House of Assembly. 

Several people tweeted the lawmaker is allegedly working on a bill to regulate and control speech on social media. 

 This however got them angry has many dragged him. One user said, Desmond Elliot is a clear example of power will change people. Another said; I thought he was one of us. See some of the tweets below...

First they deny the Genocide, then Fashola finds a Mystery Camera & now Desmond Elliot has proposed a Bill that will regulate Social Media Posts so they can arrest anyone that posts about the Lekki Massacre. They will go any length to silence us, this is 2020 not 1920
