Meghan Markle attends Opening of ‘Oceania’ exhibition at Royal Academy of Arts

The Duchess of Sussex stepped out for her first solo royal engagement on Tuesday, as she attended the opening of a Pacific art exhibition.



The 37-year-old was at the Royal Academy of Arts in London to see “Oceania,” an exhibition featuring some 200 artefacts from Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia – a huge ocean area encompassing New Guinea, Easter Island, Hawaii and New Zealand.

For the event, Meghan wore a black Givenchy dress with billowing sheer sleeves which featured a thigh-high slit and fitted bodice.

The Duchess paired the outfit with black pumps as she kept her long hair straight and sleek and carried a Givenchy clutch.
