PHOTOS: Baby miraculously pulled out alive 4 days after Kenya’s building collapse

An 18-month-old girl has been pulled out alive from underneath a six-storey collapsed building after being buried for four days in Nairobi’s Huruma district.



According to Kenya Red Cross, the toddler had been buried for around 80 hours and was found in a bucket and wrapped in a blanket. She appeared dehydrated, “but had no visible physical injuries.”

Nairobi police chief Japheth Koome called it a ‘miracle’ and said the emergency services were continuing their rescue efforts following the incident which has claimed 23 lives since it crumbled on Friday.

‘A child aged about one and half years rescued alive at 4am and referred to Kenyatta National Hospital,’ Kenya Red Cross said on Tuesday.
