I Would Have Been a Surgeon If I Hadn’t Pursued Acting - Omoni Oboli
Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli has stated that if not for acting, she would have been a successful surgeon.
She stated this during a Q&A session with Netflix, where she also discussed intriguing details about herself and her upcoming project, “Òlòtūré: The Journey.”
During the interview, Oboli revealed that she grew up in the Delta Steel Company area of Delta State, Nigeria.
She said: “I grew up in Delta Steel Company in Delta State. If I were not an actor, I would definitely be a surgeon”.
Oboli also showcased her culinary skills, stating that she can cook a wide variety of Nigerian dishes, especially soups like bangs and egusi.
“I can make so many Nigerian dishes, especially the soups. I can make bangs soup, egusi, you name it I’m your girl.”
When asked about her favourite Netflix title, she revealed that she would love to be a part of the popular series Bridgerton.
“If I had to choose another Netflix title to be in, it would definitely be Bridgerton”.
The actress also shared her favourite thing about being an actress, which is the ability to play multiple roles in one lifetime.
“My favourite thing about being an actor is that I get to be so many people in just one life. The last thing I watched on Netflix was a limited series called The Anatomy of Scandal.”
She expressed her excitement about her upcoming project, Òlòtūré: The Journey, describing it as “thrilling”, “tear-jerking”, and “nerve-wracking”.
If I were to describe the Oloture sequel in three words it would be ‘thrilling’, It would be ‘tear-jerking’, and it would be ‘nerve-wracking’. Audiences should expect to sit at the edge of their seats, and no look away. If you look away, you will miss something amazing,” Oboli concluded.
She promised that audiences would be on the edge of their seats, and encouraged them to stay glued to their screens when the series is released on June 28, 2024.
