Students, principal, abducted while writing NECO Exams in Kogi

Gvnmen on Tuesday attacked a Government Secondary School, in Odo-Ekina, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State

They abdvcting four students, the school principal and a National Examinations Council (NECO) ad hoc staff member.

‎The attack occurred at about 5:25 p.m. while the students were writing their NECO examination. according to the Kogi State Police Command.

A combined team of police personnel and other security agencies have however launched a search-and-rescue operation following the incident.

‎Confirming the incident, the State Police spokesperson, ASP Saliu Oyiza Afusat, said one of the abdvcted students has been rescued, while efforts are ongoing to secure the release of the remaining victims and apprehend the attackers.
