Gunmen attack Immigration office in Ogbomoso, cart away firearms

Gunmen have attacked the Immigration Office in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, making away with firearms belonging to officers on duty.

The attack occurred at about 10pm on June 2, 2026 at the facility located on the Ogbomoso – Ilorin new expressway.

Sources said the gunmen stormed the facility while the nearby Ayanyan Cattle Market was rolling with activities.

According to Vanguard, officers on duty were dispossessed of their guns.

After the operations, the gunmen disappeared into the cover of the night.

The spokesperson for the Oyo State Police Command, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, said he had not yet received an official briefing on the incident.

“I will provide updates as soon as the necessary information becomes available,” the PPRO added.
