I Didn’t Know She Was A Celebrity – Juma Jux Opens Up On How He Met Priscilla Ojo

Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has opened up about how he fell for his wife Priscilla without knowing she was a celebrity.

“It was love at first sight,” he said, recalling their meeting in Rwanda.

Jux thought Priscilla was just beautiful, and they connected instantly. He only discovered her fame later, after their relationship had blossomed.

Juma Jux said:

“Priscilla, I’m so happy. I’m in love. I love my wife so much. I love my family. When I first met her in Rwanda, I didn’t know she was a celebrity. I just saw her with Chioma… and I thought, wow, this girl, she’s beautiful. We started talking, and it was just amazing. Even after the basketball game, she never revealed she was famous. I saw her followers and thought, okay, she’s popular, but I didn’t know she was this big.”

“We went to Zanzibar, took pictures, and everything just grew from there. Chioma, our matchmaker, saw everything from the start. Honestly, meeting Priscilla was love at first sight. I just knew she was the one.”

The singer admitted that marrying Priscilla has positively impacted his career, particularly by increasing his fanbase in Nigeria and West Africa.

Juma Jux married Priscilla Ojo earlier this year, and the couple welcomed their son, Rakeem, in Canada on August 24, 2025.
