Governor Uzodimma raises Imo workers’ minimum wage to N104k

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has approved a major wage increase for state civil servants, raising the minimum wage to N104,000.

The announcement came during a meeting with the state’s labour force at Government House, Owerri. In addition, the monthly salary for medical doctors in the state civil service has been raised to N582,000.

Uzodimma attributed the upward wage review to improved internally generated revenue and higher federal allocations, noting that the new salary structure is designed to boost workers’ morale, enhance productivity, and stimulate the state’s economy.

The governor also approved N16 billion to clear outstanding gratuity arrears owed to pensioners in the state.
