The vandalism occurred in the early hours of Friday, August 27, and residents woke up to see PMS gushing out of the NNPC pipeline.
The PMS has been flowing into drainage channels and, to prevent a fire outbreak, residents have been advised not to cook or put on any form of fire for the next few hours.
They have also been advised to avoid smoking to avoid reigniting a fire as PMS has leaked onto the streets.
A resident who spoke said they couldn't reheat their breakfast so they had to make do with just bread.
LASEMA, LRU, Lagos State Fire Service, NSCDC, NNPC, LASTMA, LNSC are all at the scene.
Fire trucks are on the ground in case a fire starts. Also, the NNPC maintenance team is working to stop the flow of PMS and commence repairs.
