Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Hosts Lupita Nyong’o And The Nigerian Creative Industry

Many Nigerian creatives gathered at the Ebonylife Place in Victoria Island, Lagos on saturday to receive Oscar-winning actress, Lupita Nyong’o who was being hosted by Nigerian renowned writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in Lagos.



The Hollywood star famous for her roles in critically-acclaimed movies such as 12 Years a Slave and Black Panther, is in Nigeria to promote her screen-adaptation of Adichie’s novel, Americanah.

Some of the guests who attended the dinner included, TV personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Bella Disu, actresses Omoni Oboli, Osas Ighodaro, Joke Silva, Nse Ikpe Etim, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Chigul, Lala Akindoju, makeup guru Tara Durotoye, Betty Irabor, Ruth Osime, comedian Bovi, singers Flavour Femi Kuti and many others.

Nyong’o is set to star and also act as Executive Producer of the show, which was given a straight-to-series order by American subscription video-on-demand streaming service, HBO Max in 2019.
