Another building collapses in Kakawa street, Lagos

Another building has collapsed in Kakawa Street on Lagos Island, bringing to three the number of building collapses witnessed in that section of Lagos in the last two weeks.



The building is reported to have been marked for demolition and occupants had vacated before the incident. But it affected the bungalow beside, which reportedly had occupants in it before the incident.

This will be the 3rd building collapse incident on the Lagos Island in the month of March. Just two weeks ago, a building housing a school at the Ita-Faaji area of the Island collapsed, with no fewer than 20 people dead, including children and about 40 more injured.
