Gunmen Kidnap Ex-NBA Chairman,Itemuagbor, wife murdered

Tragedy has hit the family of the former Auchi branch Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, A. Itemuagbor as he has now been abducted by unknown gunmen in the Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State.



It was gathered that his wife was also murdered at the incident which occurred along the Benin-Auchi expressway on Sunday, November 4,2018.

According to reports, Itemuagbor was on his way to Auchi from Benin, where he had attended the convention of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, when he was accosted by the abductors at Ehor.

The gunmen were said to have attempted a shot at him, but killed his wife in the process.

He was later said to have been taken away to an unknown location and have made a demand of a whooping N50m for his release.

As at the time of this reports, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Chidi Nwabuzor, could not be reached for comments.

Series of calls have been put across to his mobile phone number which rang but was not answered and he is yet to respond to a text message sent to him as well however, the chairman of the Benin branch of the NBA, Prince Collins Ogieva, confirmed the incident.

Ogieva said;

“Itemuagbor was kidnapped at Ehor and his wife killed. It is unfortunate.”
