I stole motorcycle for my girlfriend’s upkeep —Suspect

An 18-year-old robbery suspect who stole a motorcycle for his girlfriend’s upkeep, has been arrested by the Niger State Police Command.



The suspect Sharif Audu who stole the motorcycle from one Yakubu Ndanusa, admitted to stealing a Bajaj motorcycle in order to raise money for his girlfriend’s upkeep. Sharif who is jobless, was always seen loitering around Honey Bell Hotel in Minna.

Speaking to Punch’s correspondent, he said;

“The desire to satisfy the needs of my girlfriend made me steal the motorcycle. I don’t want to say no to her and that is why I can do anything to make her happy, no matter what.

“I don’t want to share her with anybody and that is why I will go the extra mile to fulfil her needs. I don’t care what it may result to, my duty is to provide what she needs before any other thing, I love her so much,” he said without remorse.

The State’s Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar, who confirmed that the stolen motorcycle was recovered from the suspect, added that he would be charged to court after investigation.
