Photos/video: Solomon Dalung calls USA United States of Nigeria, locks Twitter account after shameful statement

Nigeria Sports Minister Solomon Dalung has set his Twitter account to private after Nigerians lashed out at him over a shocking statement he made about the U23 team stranded in Atlanta, US.



Solomon Dalung told newsmen when he was asked to speak about Nigeria's U-23 football team stranded in the US after they refused to board a plane they said was too small to carry them to Rio, Brazil for the Olympics. Solomon had said:

"Our U-23 team suffering in the United States of Nigeria, What are there for? Because they are U-23 and they went to US and they are having problems, does that become our business? "
When Nigerians called Solomon a shame and barraged him with more reactions, he set his Twitter account to private.
