Nothing less than 300 cement workers have been kidnapped by Islamic State militants in the northeast area of the Syrian capital, Damascus, Syrian state television has said.
The workers from Al Badia Cement Company were, according to reports, taken near the town of Dumeir. Meanwhile, officials with the company said they have not been able to establish contact with the workers.
Earlier this week, the ISIS militants had launched an assault on military positions in Dumeir, leaving 12 soldiers killed.
The militant had previously attacked the cement factory on Monday, an attack that made more than 250 employees missing.
