INEC Fixes Date For Edo Gubernatorial Poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has fixed September 10, 2016 for Edo State governorship election.

Announcing the guidelines and timetable for the election, the new Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in Edo State, Mr. Sam Olumekun disclose that party primaries will hold as from 2nd June to the 4th of July, 2016.

He said the campaigns will commence on Sunday, 10th of June, 2016, while the official register of voters for the election will be published on the 11th August, 2016.
