Governor Wike, family and supporters celebrates as supreme court upholds his election

Governor Wike, his wife, children and supporters all celebrated his victory at the apex court yesterday evening.

Wike had approached the apex court after the Appeal Court upheld the decision of Rivers State Governorship Petitions Tribunal which nullified his election on October 24, 2015. APC candidate Dakuku Peterside had won the appeal court sitting challenging Wike's election as the Rivers State governor.
Wike took the case to the Supreme Court and has gotten the ruling that will ensure he remains Rivers State governor till at least May 2019. see more photos as they celebrates
