Actress Mary Njoku Queries the Concept of ‘Gentle Parenting’

Nollywood actress Mary Njoku has questioned who invented the concept of gentle parenting.

On her Instagram page, the ROK studio boss questions who said parents should negotiate with their kids, noting that she always speaks calmly to her kids, as if she were delivering a TED talk in a foreign language.

Mary said even her kids know that it won’t last and have sent two TV’s to their early graves.

“Please, who started this gentle parenting?

Who gathered all of us and said we should now begin to negotiate with tiny humans whose brains are still under construction?

Because explain to me why I am calmly saying, ‘Sweetheart, the glass centre table is not a stool. Like I’m delivering a TED Talk in a foreign language inside Balogun Market.

Even my kids know this won’t last.
Nope!!

gently explaining why we don’t place a full glass of water in front of the TV. After they sent TWO TVs to their early graves. 75 and 86 inches.
Gentle parenting.
Ok oooo!
Let’s try for another 45 minutes”.
